Original Equipment Manufacturers

Typically, an OEM manufactures several different systems for diverse customers throughout the DoD and NASA. The individual DoD and NASA system managers and program managers have different budget profiles, system specifications, and timelines for meeting their HazMat objectives. These constraints and the lack of a single interface to coordinate pollution prevention efforts often lead to duplication of effort and costly delays in implementing changes at contractor facilities.

JG-PP can help OEMs make desired pollution prevention changes at their facilities in a timely and cost effective manner. Specifically, we can apply the
JG-PP Methodology and resources to help you:

  • Identify pollution prevention opportunities that can be undertaken jointly
by the contractor site and multiple system managers
  • Identify alternatives that have the potential to replace HazMats and that meet the compliance requirements of the contactor facility
  • Identify testing costs, testing locations, sources of funding, and contract vehicles
  • Conduct or oversee validation testing
  • Implement validated alternatives at contractor facilities
  • Reduce production costs.

If you would like to become involved in a current JG-PP project, please email us at jgpp@ctc.com. If your facility has high-priority environmental problems that JG-PP projects are not currently addressing and which may affect two or more services or NASA, we encourage you to bring these potential project ideas to our attention. Would you like to learn more about how to initiate a project?
