Joint Test Protocol

The JTP documents the validation test requirements for DFLs to be used in turbine engines to prevent galling, fretting and seizing, and to aid in assembly of components. Testing includes but is not limited to material compatibility, corrosion resistance, and lubrication properties. Any qualified alternatives will be available for use in appropriate applications in aircraft and other turbine engines with appropriate weapon system program manager approval.
