How to Initiate a Project

JG-PP welcomes new ideas for addressing high-priority pollution prevention projects. If your program or facility has an environmental problem that JG-PP projects are not currently addressing and which may be shared by two or more services or NASA, we encourage you to bring these potential project ideas to our attention.


Systems Program Managers

Systems managers can initiate a JG-PP project by contacting the Management Council at the respective OEM that has the primary contract to manufacture the system. For additional help on working with Management Councils, you may contact David James, DCMA. You may additionally contact your particular service's or organization's JG-PP Working Group member and present the opportunity to them.


Maintenance and Repair Facilities

Maintenance process owners can initiate a JG-PP project by contacting their respective service JG-PP Working Group member and presenting the opportunity to them.


Original Equipment Manufacturers

OEMs can initiate a JG-PP project by contacting their Management Council. The Management Council will usually ask for the OEM to submit a Concept Paper to them outlining the problem and proposed solution. For additional help on working with Management Councils, you may contact David James, DCMA.


Researchers and Academia

DoD and NASA researchers can initiate a JG-PP project by contacting the respective service JG-PP Working Group member and presenting the opportunity to them.

Industry researchers can initiate a JG-PP project by contacting their company's Management Council. The Management Council will usually ask the company representative to submit a Concept Paper to outline the problem and proposed solution. For additional help on working with Management Councils, you may contact David James, DCMA. Academic or other independent researchers can initiate a project by simply emailing a brief proposal to jgpp@ctc.com
